Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s AR Murgadoss directed Thupakki first look will be revealed on May 1.

The producer of the film Kalaipuli S Thanu is going to splash the first look posters of the film all over Tamil Nadu.

The same day there will be ads of Thupakki in major newspapers. The ads will also be put online. AR Murgadoss the director of the film and its cinematographer Santosh Sivan has already tweeted to watch out for May 1.

Thupakki is an all-out action entertainer from Vijay, where he plays a Dirty Harry type cop and encounter specialist.

The film has been almost 80 % shot inthe streets of Mumbai. Kajal Aggarwal is the heroine and film has music by Harris Jayaraj.

Shiv Karan Singh and Reemma got married in an elaborate ceremony in the capital on Sunday (March 11).
As Reema and Shiv warmly greeted guests and was posing with each and every guest, there was an announcement asking them to come to the dance floor. Once they reached the dance floor, all the guests were told that the couple`s best friends have put together a dance skit which explained their love story, in true Bollywood style- with drama, emotion and lots of violence!

Most of the couple`s friends and family members were part of this skit and it came as a surprise to the newly wed and they were seen thoroughly enjoying the spoof.

But the loudest hooting and cheering was when Shriya Saran, Reema`s friend danced to the Chikni Chameli…, and it was announced that no Bollywood love story is complete without an item number.

Later, Shriya told Sify.com at the function: ‘I have known Reema for the last 10 years and she is such a wonderful girl and a good friend. When we all brainstormed about having a surprise skit, I was so keen to dance for her wedding. It took us just three rehearsals to prepare the whole skit. We were all so nervous, but it was so much fun!’

Reema`s wedding held on Sunday March 11 in Delhi was a grand affair.
There were over 2000 guests at the wedding followed by a reception. Reema was wearing a Sabyasachi red dress and traditional jewelery.

Shiv Karan Singh was in a Suneet Verma outfit. The rituals were in typical Punjabi style with a Baarat, Shagun, Jaimala ( the exchange of the garlands by the bride and the groom), Phera and Kanyadaan.

Amala Paul has become the flavour of south India. She has hit big time with the runaway bilingual hit Kadhalil Soddhapavadhu Yeppadi (KSY) in Tamil and Love Failure in Telugu.

The success of Kadhalil Soddhapavadhu Eppadi has made Amala a star and the hit Telugu director VV Vinayak has signed her as the heroine opposite the hot and happening young Telugu star Ram Charan Teja for his next untitled film!

Karthi`s Saguni, a political satire, will be released on April 14, Tamil New Year.
Recently, the unit picturised a song starring the two
leads in Poland, where Steven Spielberg shot his
Oscar winner Schindler`s List. The music for
the film is being scored by hotshot composer
G V Prakash Kumar.

Karthi`s last film was Siruthai. Saguni is directed by
debutant Shankar Dayal, and has Pranitha, Santhanam,
Radhikaa Sarathkumar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nasser and Roja.
Mumtaz is doing a crucial role in the film.

entwined in the vicious circle of politics.

She has been invited to address the international conference of youth by the United Nations.

She will be speaking at the Nairobi convention of the UN on
“harnessing power of the youth” on March 15 and 18.

Says Kushboo : “It is a great honour to address the UN
convention in Nairobi on Youth 21: Building for change.
I will be speaking on women’s empowerment and youth issues.”

Actresses usually shy away from discussing their cosmetic surgeries, but Shruti Haasan has no problems in admitting that she went under the knife for a nose-job before her Bollywood debut. However, she clarifies it was for medical reasons.

She says she went in for a corrective surgery in the US because she was facing breathing problems. She revealed on BIG CBS Love’s show “India’s Glam Diva” that she went through a septoplasty because of a common disorder involving a deviated septum.

Shruti, who made her Bollywood debut with Luck in 2009, and is also a singer, was apprehensive about undergoing the surgery for fear of it affecting her voice.

Post-surgery, life has become a lot easier, she said, adding: “I am able to sleep peacefully and sing without any difficulty. It is a minor procedure and I am greatly relieved.”

A Mumbai tabloid has reported that Kamal Haasan is all set to revive his long forgotten magnum opus Marudhanayagam!

He has told the newspaper that he is going to revive the movie and there is a role for his friend Rajinikanth!

Marudhanayagam was launched in 1997 with a lot of fanfare but due to various reasons was shelved after a few days of shooting.

Now Kamal talks of reviving the film with a budget of around Rs 150 crore and will be made in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and English.

When asked whether there will be a role for Rajinikanth, Kamal is quoted as saying – “Yes there is a role that is ideal for him. We’ve done 10 films together in the beginning of our career, but none recently. No one has come up with a project worthy of us. It’s up to me to bell the cat.”

Half a dozen small Tamil films are releasing today.

The films releasing are Dhoni, Oru Nadigayin Vakkumoolam,
Oru Mazhai Nangu Saaral, Soonillai, Vilayada Vaa and Vachati.

Most of these films are releasing in four or five screens
with one or two shows.

Among the lot only Dhoni is getting good screens and multiplex release.
Adding fuel to theatre shortage two dubbed films,
Journey 2 dubbed into Tamil as Rudra Bhoomi and
Engada Un Mantri are also releasing.

The big Hindi movie of the week is the Imran Khan-
Kareena Kapoor starrer Ek Main Aur Ek Tu,
which is releasing in half a dozen screens.

The new releases has put tremendous pressure on earlier releases
with Nanban and Vettai being shifted to smaller screens.
